Poverty Simulations

Experience how it feels to live in a community surrounded by wealth, while struggling to feed, shelter, and clothe yourself and your family. Participants will confront the realities and choices people in poverty face on a daily basis. While other simulation programs focus on global poverty, City on a Hill's simulation primarily focuses on poverty in Milwaukee and the United States.

City on a Hill's goal is for people who complete the poverty simulation to come away with a better understanding of the causes and struggles of poverty, God's heart for the poor, and some practical steps people can take to help address the issue in urban America or their own communities.
